Thomas has a curiosity to explore the unknown and a delight in learning to interpret complex problems. Although technically grounded in engineering his other passions have helped develop a range of skills across a variety of disciplines, with great success.

Since an early age Thomas has been intrigued by the power of music. His main forte is as a guitar player although he has also performed as a clarinetist and saxophonist.

Thomas has also been an avid rock climber for over 10 years. Not only has he achieved multiple hard outdoor ascents but also ranked highly in state competitions and been involved in the route setting industry.

One of Thomas’ first passions was specialty coffee. He believes that the science of coffee extraction is highly intricate and a never-ending quest for success. He has spent multiple years working as a barista.

Sailing was natural to Thomas as his father was a wooden boat builder. He has competed at a state level and has been accredited with multiple sailing licenses in tidal waters.
