Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team – Industrial Placement

In 2022 Thomas accepted a position to join the aerodynamics department at Mercedes F1 in the UK as a CFD Aerodynamics Industrial Placement. In his time with the team Thomas worked primarily on CFD and wind tunnel analysis on the forward floor.

In contributing to W14 and W15 (2023 and 2024 cars) he was exposed to numerous computational and physical methodologies. He was fortunate to be mentored by a diverse range of experienced engineers across multiple projects.
